About the Author


Zukiswa Wanner is the author of four novels, two works of nonfiction, and two children’s books. In 2014, Wanner was selected by Hay Festival as one of 39 African writers most likely to change the face of literature in sub-Saharan Africa. She is a curator of Artistic Encounters in Nairobi, Kenya, and recently founded a publishing house, Paivapo, which seeks to create a more intimate conversation between African writers and readers through translation of works in the continent’s different languages.
