Jennifer Liberts grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Agoura, California. She has a BA in English Literature from California State University, and an MFA in Poetry from Columbia University. She has worked as a children's book editor, an English teacher, and an independent bookseller. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her three book-loving children, and an orange cat named Chuck.

Atelier Philippe Harchy is an author and illustrator of children's books. His works include Belle’s Secret, As You Wish, What is a Princess, and Just Keep Swimming.
