Pygmy Bluetongue Lizards were rediscovered near Burra, South Australia in 1992. Prior to this they had not been seen since the 1950s. Thanks to research and conservation efforts, these little lizards can be found on some pastoral land and grasslands in the Aussie bush.

The adventures of the endangered pygmy bluetongue lizards are represented through Pinky and Peet in this children's picture book by Dawn Hawthorn-Jackson and beautifully illustrated by Jan Finlayson.
