Filled with anecdotes and advice from parents, teachers, and counselors, this completely revised edition helps parents understand the nature of their children’s learning disabilities, prepares them to negotiate for effective programming at school, and builds awareness of crucial issues of social and emotional growth. Written with warmth and compassion, the book covers every stage of development from the first day of preschool to the first day on the job.

Praise For…

“The most complete, readable and valuable book of its kind. If you are a parent of a struggling child, read this book. If someone you love is such a parent, gift them with this book. It is, quite simply, the best. . . . The new edition of A to Z is faithful to the mission of the original, but also addresses many of the current issues and concepts that impact education today. . . . Most important, A to Z explodes many of the myths and misconceptions that exist in our field.”

"One of the best books on learning disabilities ever to cross my desk...this complete and readable guide arms parents with all the information they need to act effectively on the child's behalf."

—Lynn Altamura, former president, Learning Disabilities Association of New York State

"Learning Disabilities: A to Z should be the first book you reach for when your child has been diagnosed with any type of learning disability. You would be challenged to raise a question that this book does not address."
