Something strange is happening in Westfield County. People are disappearing, freak electrical surges are causing destruction, and a woman appears at the Halloween concert and swears vengeance on the town.

When their teacher vanishes, leaving behind a mysterious key, Murphy, Chloe, and Jason are thrust into a mystical adventure. Allied with the spritely Cromalites, the kids journey into a world of strange creatures, secret languages, and alien powers to rescue the missing people and-hopefully-save their town from evil. As they learn more, Murphy, Chloe, and Jason discover that they were not chosen for their task at random-they each have an important part to play.
