Description

Support and celebrate bookstores owned by members of the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodiverse communities with this journal created by The Word | A Storytelling Sanctuary!

Published to coincide with the first annual #MarginsBookstores Month, this journal is the ultimate guide to independent bookstores around the United States that are owned by members of marginalized groups. Featuring a beautiful map created by illustrator and muralist Kah Yangni for the project, this journal is perfect for jotting down musings, reading lists, notes, and more. On the journal's interior, the map is broken up into six different regional illustrations that appear alongside detailed information about the featured shops from that part of the country—keep this notebook handy for the next time you're itching to repopulate your to-read shelf!

SUPPORTS A GREAT CAUSE: A portion of the proceeds from this journal will go toward the #MarginsBookstores fund created by The Word | A Storytelling Sanctuary. This fund will be redistributed directly to participating bookstores owned and managed by members of historically marginalized communities.

INFORMATIVE & STYLISH: Published to coincide with the 2021 #MarginsBookstoresMonth, this journal is both a beautiful object and a practical tool—it's a great way to discover exciting new retailers near you!

Perfect for:

• Booklovers and bookstore browsers
• Readers and shoppers interested in supporting shops owned by members of the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodiverse communities
