Robert Francis was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 1995. He earned a bachelor's degree in 1993 and a master's degree in social work in 2006. Robert has been practicing as a talk therapist for more than a decade. He is currently a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Regarding the topic of schizophrenia, Robert has authored two other books. His first book is titled On Conquering Schizophrenia: From the Desk of a Therapist and Survivor and his second book is titled The Essential Schizophrenia Companion; With Foreword by Elyn R Saks, PhD, JD. Each book, including this newest one, combines clinical and lived experience perspectives. Such a dual perspective of schizophrenia is both novel and very illuminating. Robert's passion is to help others with schizophrenia to recover, as he did, and to live a full, satisfying, and hopeful lives! Robert sees schizophrenia as having associated inherent strengths, and in Schizophrenia: A Strength's Perspective; Life Lessons Learned from Living with Schizophrenia, he brings these exemplary strengths to light for others to see, share, and appreciate. In Schizophrenia: A Strength's Perspective; Life Lessons Learned from Living with Schizophrenia, Robert accentuates the positive, and as is customary of his writing style, he does so with characteristic warmth and an undeniable and touching appeal!
