Description
This study entitled "A Study of Decision-making Process in the Indian Corporate Sector" has been undertaken in order to understand the decision-making process prevailing in the Indian corporate sector because the environment is dynamic and the decision is short-lived. This study is an attempt made to propose a method that may ease out the decision-making for most of the simple decision-making processes while the same method may become a pre-requisite for the application of complex methodologies. A thorough literature survey was made in the area of functional management and also reviews have been made on models and their applications. The necessity to focus on the five objectives contemplated in the study and four hypotheses was even more important considering the dynamic nature of the environment. The study is taken up based on a nonrandom judgment sampling method and the study has been carried out in Bangalore by considering 12 public and 12 private sectors, each sector being represented by six production and six service types of organizations.
